猎奇重口video本片是阿普三部曲（大路之歌、不屈者、阿普的世界），第一部是與生長的地方的聯係，第二部是與父母的聯係(在第二部裏，阿普的父母相繼棄他而去)，第三部是與愛人和孩子的聯係。全片最突出的地方，是以一位不滿十歲的少年的視線界來觀賞人類與大自然生活的共通性。電影評論：In this very polished final chapter of the trilogy, Apu's story evolves from tales of domestic intimacy to his interaction with the grandiose narrative of "the world", where his artistic ambitions, his idealism against the working class reality, and his sweet, clumsy newfound happiness are all swept into the throbbing whirlwind of despair.
